Administrative information changes, and even published datasets can contain missing or inconsistent fields. We welcome clear correction reports when a Village Codes page appears to disagree with the source data or displays a record incorrectly.

What to include in a report

• The Village Codes page URL.
• The LGD code shown on the page, where available.
• The field you believe is wrong or incomplete.
• A link to the official source or other evidence that explains the issue, if you have one.

How we review a correction

We first determine whether the issue comes from the source dataset or from the way Village Codes has interpreted, linked or displayed the record. A website presentation error can be corrected by us. If the published government source itself contains the disputed value, we normally keep the source value and may add clearer context rather than invent a replacement.

Administrative changes

A newer government record can differ from the snapshot used on this site. In that case, the appropriate fix may be to update the underlying data snapshot rather than manually edit one page.
